Shift: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:

• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required with any experience within the last 12 months.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - 1 travel contract strongly preferred. - Experience with pre/post cath, post pacemaker, and TR Bands strongly preferred.

Required Credentials: - Associate degree or certificate.

Special Requests: - If a candidate has NP licensure, ThedaCare will only consider them for an NP role, not a lower position. - Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence.

Unit Details: - Clinical Resource Team assignment supporting Medical/Surgical, General Surgical, Oncology, Renal, CIWA, CHF, COPD, Stroke, Surgical Trauma, Ortho, and DKA patients; pediatric patients are rare. - TCN 5th floor includes cardiac patients such as pre/post procedures, heart cath, and pacemakers. TCN Neuro includes stroke, post-TNK, and neurosurgery patients. - Assignment will be based on skillset to fill staffing needs; travelers will only take patients within their skillset. - RNs are paired with support staff (LPN/CNA) based on acuity.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend rotation: up to every other weekend. Every-weekend candidates may be considered. - Holiday rotation as needed. - No call. - Scheduled hours are not guaranteed during orientation week or during holidays when the unit is closed.

Floating Requirements: - Will float throughout all Med/Surg units at ThedaCare Appleton and ThedaCare Neenah, and may float to other ThedaCare facilities as needed; primarily Appleton/Neenah but must be open to smaller locations as needed.

9 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
