Medical Surgical Oncology - Travel Registered Nurse- $1900 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required. Administration of chemotherapy required. Accessing and managing ports required. Administration of blood and blood products required. Central line blood draw required. Central line/implanted line care required. PICC line care required. Starting and maintaining IVs required. Experience with antibiotics and antiemetics required. Foley catheter insertion/management required. Isolation precautions required. Telemetry interpretation and monitoring required. Med-Surg experience required. Oncology/chemo experience required.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Work parking options include monthly passes for the North Surface Lot ($73), Clayton Avenue Building Southeast Lot ($63), and Clayton Taylor Garage ($73); prices and availability may vary. Straight night-shift clinicians may use employee parking at no charge.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Autologous stem cell transplants are performed on the unit. Patient population includes BMT oncology patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, including management of complications from blood cancers such as GVHD. Travel nurses do not administer chemotherapy unless certified.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required.

Floating Requirements: Floating is required throughout the Oncology department as needed and will be to the unit with the greatest need per shift; the clinician will not always work specifically on the 9800 unit.
