Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required. Feeding tube care and management required. BMT experience is not required. Chemotherapy administration/infusion experience is not required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience is preferred; MS nurses with oncology patient experience may be considered.

Required Credentials: RNs only: Clinicians who obtained an RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold a MO, IL, or compact license require an extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards are accepted.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Unit Details: Adult patient population. Medical oncology patient diagnoses include solid tumors of the lung, breast, and pancreas; BMT; leukemia; and bone-related conditions. Care includes chemotherapy and post-treatment radiation therapy. Average patient stay is 3-5 days. Patient ratios are 1:4-5; BMT ratios are 1:3 for all shifts. Unit procedures include IV starts, tracheostomy care, accessing ports and central lines, chemotherapy administration, and stem cell transplantation. Chemotherapy administration is not performed by travel nurses unless certified, and stem cell transplantation is not performed by travel nurses. BMT patients are not assigned to travel nurses unless experienced. No ventilators are used. CAD pumps are used.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. No call. RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract.

Floating Requirements: Will float within the service line to meet facility needs.
