Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management is required. Dysrhythmia interpretation and management is required. Can be an MS nurse with oncology patient experience.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Monthly parking options: North Surface Lot - $73; Clayton Ave. Building Southeast Lot - $63; Clayton Taylor Garage - $73. Prices and availability may vary. Parking for orientation costs $15 and is not reimbursed.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Patient population includes medical oncology patients with solid tumors of the lung, breast, and pancreas; BMT, leukemia, and bone patients; and patients receiving chemotherapy or post-treatment radiation therapy. Average stay is 3-5 days. Unit procedures include IV starts, chemotherapy administration (not by TN), tracheostomy care, accessing ports and central lines, and stem cell transplantation (not by TN). There are no ventilators. BMT care is not for TN unless experienced, and BMT experience is not needed. Chemotherapy administration or infusion experience is not needed. CAD pumps are used on the unit. The BMT nurse-patient ratio is 1:3 on all shifts.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. No call. RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13 week contract.

Floating Requirements: Will float within the service line to meet facility needs.
