Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience with ortho patients and PCA pumps.
Special Requests: Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. Block scheduling is allowed as long as the needs of the unit are met.
Unit Details: Patient population includes a lot of elective surgeries involving hips, knees and shoulders; some fractures from falls; back and neck neurosurgeries; and general Med-Surg patients. Common infusions include IV fluids and PCA pumps; there are no heparin or other drips. Patients may receive CPAP, BiPAP and high-flow oxygen, managed by respiratory therapy. Remote telemetry may be used as needed and is monitored by the third floor.
Shift & Scheduling: Travelers will be scheduled where they are needed. Every other weekend; night weekend shifts are Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Holiday work depends on unit needs. If permanent staff coverage is insufficient, travelers may be expected to work holidays.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float. Floating is required to any Med-Surg units. If floated to Tele, they would be assigned patients within their skill set.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
