Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO is needed upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Blocked scheduling will not be approved unless it is weekends only; it can be requested. Travel pairs will not be accepted if they want the same schedule or to share a car.
Unit Details: 24/7 phlebotomy is available. Common diagnoses/types of patients include total knee replacements, total hip replacements, ankle replacements, total shoulder replacements, and spine (back and neck) cases. Common titratable and/or set-rate drips include pain medications, antibiotics, and blood. Tele boxes are used, and tele techs read and interpret the strips.
Shift & Scheduling: Available shift times are 0630-1830 and 1830-0630, with self-scheduling and cyclic rotation. Every other weekend. Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff. If placed on call and called back in, arrival is required within 30 minutes.
Floating Requirements: Floats to Med-Surg, rehab, or PCU while taking Med-Surg acuity.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
