Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Postoperative surgical care and general medical-surgical care experience are required.

Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 on 12 hr days and 1:5-6 on 12 hr nights. Patients include a wide variety of medical-surgical cases, postoperative orthopedic cases, and trauma cases with fractures. The unit uses CPAP and heated high-flow equipment as needed. The unit uses house-wide telemetry pack monitors and Philips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: Night shifts are scheduled every other weekend on Friday/Saturday. No call.

Floating Requirements: Travel RNs are first to float if needed; floating to other similar Med-Surg floors occurs occasionally.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
