Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 3 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Will consider Level 2 trauma experience. Will consider 18+ months of experience. First-time travelers welcome.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Psychiatric experience preferred.
Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Holiday PTO must be approved by the unit manager. Travel teams must have their own vehicles.
Unit Details: Inpatient Med/Surg/Telemetry unit with a behavioral health component; this is not a psych unit. Specializes in patients with mental illness. Patient population includes medical patients with secondary psych diagnoses, confused patients, patients with dementia, and patients with low cognitive ability. Requires additional safety monitoring; patients are video monitored by security on the unit. Rare physical restraints; chemical restraints used. Behavior health techs on unit. Charge nurse has patients. Psych MD on unit. SWAT RN available for IV support. Uses panic buttons.
Shift & Scheduling: Every 3rd weekend. Holidays based on unit coverage and permanent staff rotation.
Floating Requirements: Floating to ED psych holds and possibly to Med/Surg floors.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
