Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Experience with cardiac drips and post-cath lab care is required.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if the first-day modules are remote.
Unit Details: Patients commonly include those with congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension and chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding and acute renal failure. RNs titrate drips, including analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, HFNC and NRB. Telemetry technicians monitor 24/7, and RNs co-sign strips. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 on day shift and 1:5 on night shift.
Shift & Scheduling: The schedule includes 6-9 weekends in a 6-week schedule; full- and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Self-scheduling and block scheduling are available. Holiday coverage is required. Call or standby requirements are determined by the nurse manager.
Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float and may float within Zone 3 in cases of extreme need. Floating may include Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
