Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2070 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips. - Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients. - Must be willing to precept nursing students.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Telemetry experience preferred.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year.

Unit Details: - Common surgical cases include total hip and knee replacement, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, and exploratory lap. - Common medical diagnoses include MRSA, C. diff infections, suicide attempt, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, and COVID. - Chest pain is a common telemetry presentation. - The unit cares for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients. - Remote monitor technicians are available on the unit. - If no nursing assistant is available, the RN takes 3 patients and provides primary care.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend, Friday and Saturday for night shifts. - Holiday rotation is used to distribute holidays fairly. - If census is low, staff rotate standby turns; travelers may or may not be included in the low-census rotation depending on the contract.

Floating Requirements: - The clinician is first to float. - Float to the Multi Care Unit and Pediatric unit to care for adult MST patients, and to the West Campus MedSurg Tele unit.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
