Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2080 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 4 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Special Requests: No RTO is allowed over holidays. No RTO during the assignment is preferred.

Unit Details: Patient ratios are 4:1 for telemetry and 5:1 for Med/Surg. The medication system is Pyxis. IV team coverage is Monday-Friday on day shift only; availability depends on the IV nurse’s patient care and may not be available during some dates and times. Pharmacy coverage is available 24/7. Phlebotomy coverage is available 24/7. There is no lift team. Transportation is available Monday-Friday on day shift only. There is no unit secretary. An intensivist is available 7 days a week on day shift; night-shift coverage is by phone and on-call. Hospitalist coverage is available 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: Call is required for permanent staff. An attempt at every other weekend rotation is expected; however, this may be adjusted based on business need. Scheduling is a mixture of self-request and business need. RTO is limited to no longer than 2 weeks at a time.

Floating Requirements: You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles. Per union contract, you are required to float to any Med/Surg/Tele department to take patients; in all other departments, including ED, ICU, and OB, you will task only.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
