Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2080 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 4 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Travelers must be able to take Med/Surg/Telemetry as part of the assignment.

Special Requests: No RTO is allowed over holidays. No RTO is preferred during the assignment.

Unit Details: Patient ratios are 4:1 for Telemetry and 5:1 for Med/Surg. Pyxis is used for medication management. IV team coverage is available Monday-Friday on day shift only, depending on the IV nurse’s patient-care needs, and may not be available at all dates and times. Pharmacy and phlebotomy are available 24/7. Intensivist coverage is available 7 days a week on day shift; nighttime coverage is by phone and on call. Hospitalist coverage is available 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: Call is required for permanent staff only. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every-other-weekend rotation is expected but may be adjusted based on business need. Scheduling is a mixture of self-request and business need. RTO may not exceed 2 weeks at a time.

Floating Requirements: You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles. Per union contract, the clinician is required to float to any Med/Surg/Tele department to take patients and to all other departments, including ED, ICU, and OB, to task only.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
