Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2080 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 4 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Special Requests: RTO requests: none over holidays, no longer than 2 weeks at a time, and preferably none during the assignment.

Unit Details: All beds can accommodate Med/Surg/Telemetry patients. Patient ratios are 4:1 for Telemetry and 5:1 for Med/Surg. Uses the Pyxis medication system. IV team coverage is available Monday-Friday on day shift only and may not be available depending on patient-care needs. Pharmacy and phlebotomy are available 24/7. No lift team or unit secretary is available. Transportation is available Monday-Friday on day shift only. Intensivist coverage is available 7 days a week; night-shift coverage is by phone/on-call. Hospitalist coverage is available 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Call is required for permanent staff only. Every other weekend rotation is expected, but may be adjusted based on business need. Scheduling is a mixture of self-request and business need.

Floating: You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles. Per union contract, must float to any Med/Surg/Telemetry department to take patients and to other departments, including ED, ICU and OB, for tasking only.
