Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Special Requests: Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose any previous Marshfield employment; if previously employed with Marshfield, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Block scheduling may be accommodated to the best of our ability, dependent on staffing.
Unit Details: Nurse:patient ratios: 0700-1900 1:4-5; 1900-0730 1:5-6. Post-surgical patients including ortho, urology, gynecology/oncology, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, ENT, plastics, and GI. Acute medical patients with short anticipated length of stay may also be admitted. RNs titrate drips including heparin; occasionally nitro, Cardizem, and insulin. Telemetry is monitored by remote technicians; tele system is GE. Charge nurse on all shifts takes an assignment; house supervisor on all shifts. Nursing assistants present 0630-1900 at 1:8-12; RNs take a lower ratio than traditional on nights without a nursing assistant. CPAP, BIPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy; no vents. RT support is present.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
