Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $3270 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Trauma Level 4 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Michigan license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
Required Skills/Experience: - 1 year of MS/MS-Tele experience (acute care experience). - Must be comfortable with IV starts.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience/knowledge of TURPs with CBI preferred. - Trauma Level 3 experience preferred.
Special Requests: - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. - Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well. - Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - If the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield, this must be noted in the submission. If previously employed by Marshfield, the employment end date must be at least 6 months before the submission date. - Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed; longer blocks of 6 shifts may be considered when able.
Unit Details: - Nurse-patient ratios are 5-1 for day shift and 6-1 at 11pm; LPNs work until 11pm, and team nursing with LPNs uses 2:7 ratios. - Common diagnoses and cases include NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, GU conditions, pacemaker patients, sepsis, nursing home placements, and day surgeries such as orthopedic hips and knees, cholecystectomies, appendectomies, and TURPs with CBI. - A small pediatric population (3 per year) is not given to travelers unless they have prior experience or there are no other options. - The unit has limited onsite resources; there is no IV team, and respiratory therapy oversees the entire hospital. - A hospitalist or intensivist is in house until 6pm daily, then telemedicine is used. - Respiratory therapy is available 24/7, and CPAP is the available RT equipment. - Telemetry monitoring is done in the ICU daily; basic tele arrhythmia knowledge is used, with a physical monitor at the nurses desk. - Charge nurses take an assignment; travelers could be placed as relief charge.
Shift & Scheduling: - Self-scheduling requests may be accommodated when possible. - Weekend rotation is every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. - Must work 2/3 holidays. - There is potential to be placed on call/standby.
Floating Requirements: - Must be able to float to like units and patients.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
