Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - PIV starts, NG tube placement/management, Pleurx drains, management of various surgical drains, chest tube management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Comfort with port accessing preferred; only experienced Oncology RNs will be allowed to do this.

Required Credentials: - Education: ASN / BSN

Special Requests: - Permanent address must be at least 50 miles outside the home unit. - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: - Oncology unit caring for cancer patients (new and existing diagnoses), neutropenic fever, patients requiring fluid resuscitation and blood products, medical overflow, and patients receiving chemo/biotherapy. - Telemetry patients are remotely monitored in an off-unit arrhythmia center. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, bladder scanner, EKG machine, transport monitor, and Patient Safety Net. - Free parking

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: - Within region and scope of practice. - Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH [peds only]); could float to any facility within the region if needed.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

• ONS (Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider)
