Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is required within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Great River Health System (Direct) Program - Main.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required.
Required Credentials: - Self-study of telemetry strips is required upon acceptance, and a basic dysrhythmia test-out will be given during the first week of assignment. This must be passed to work on the telemetry/med surg unit.
Unit Details: - Geriatric and adult medical/surgical/telemetry patient population. - Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. - Med/Surg ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend rotation. - Not part of a regular call rotation, but may occasionally be placed on call during low census. If called in, must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
Floating Requirements: - Floating is required to non-critical care inpatient units, including the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. - If the traveler has critical care experience, they may occasionally float to CCU. - May be required to float to the Fort Madison or Henry County campus at times.
