Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• BSN completion preferred

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health

  • Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Genitourinary/Renal, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Medications, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Plastics, Mastectomy, Surgical drains, Work Settings, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Professional Topics and Skills, Wound Care/Wound Vac
  • Patient Ratio Experience: 1:5

Special Requests: RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks per contract

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

7 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
