Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $1900 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• 12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Will consider 1+ year with Level I/Teaching Facility experience. Required skills include postoperative flap monitoring, tracheostomy and total laryngectomy care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, central line management, telemetry, drain care, and wound care. Screen if missing any required skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Preferred Credentials: BSN preferred.

Special Requests: Monthly parking passes cost $73 at North Surface Lot, $63 at Clayton Ave. Building Southeast Lot, or $73 at Clayton Taylor Garage; prices and availability may vary. Orientation parking costs $15 and is not validated or reimbursed. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. ENT and plastic surgery unit caring for patients with cuffed/cuffless tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, carotid blowout precautions, and free flap patients. Unit care includes free flap monitoring, drain care, tube feeding, and wound care.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. No call. No more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract.

Floating Requirements: Floats within scope to meet facility needs.
