Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: RNs are required to be competent in reading telemetry strips.
Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Block scheduling is available. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4/5 on days and 1:5/6 on nights. Common diagnoses and patient types include heart failure (CHF), pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbations, and general Med-Surg patients. The unit uses Philips telemetry, which is centrally monitored off the unit. Common titratable and/or set-rate drips include analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. Patients have moderate oxygen needs.
Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling is available. Full- and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule 6-9 weekend shifts per six-week schedule, in alignment with department needs, unit staffing plans, and equitable distribution among all staff. Holiday coverage is required. Call/standby requirements are determined by the nurse manager. Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if the first day’s modules are remote.
Floating Requirements: May be asked to float into any other acuity level, including ICU to take low-acuity holds within skillset, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele; in an extreme need, may float within Zone 3. Floating is determined by the nurse manager and department needs.
