Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Competency in reading telemetry strips is required.
Special Requests: Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights. Patients include those with heart failure (CHF), pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbations, and general medical-surgical conditions. Common drips include analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. Uses Phillips telemetry with central monitoring off the unit. Patients have moderate oxygen needs.
Shift & Scheduling: Self-schedule 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Call requirements are determined by the nurse manager. Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if the first-day modules are remote.
Floating Requirements: May be asked to float into any other acuity level, including ICU for low-acuity holds within the clinician’s skill set, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele; in an extreme need, may float within Zone 3.
