Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension and chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding and acute renal failure. RNs are required to titrate drips, including analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots and antihypertensives for blood pressure control. The charge nurse takes an assignment. Respiratory support equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow systems and ventilators.

Shift & Scheduling: Clinicians are expected to self-schedule 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Holidays are required. Call or standby requirements are determined by the nurse manager. Clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if the first-day modules are remote.

Floating Requirements: If an extreme need arises, the clinician may float within Zone 1 to Penrose Hospital, St. Francis, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin or St. Thomas More, and may be asked to float into any other acuity level, including ICU for low-acuity holds within their skill set, PCU/Stepdown and MS-Tele.

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
