Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with CPSI is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Required Skills/Experience: - Min 1 year recent MS or post surgical experience. - Must have experience with telemetry monitoring and able to read strips.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. - Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: - Medication administration, IV infusions, blood transfusions, electrolyte replacement, wound vac management, PICC line management, post surgical patient education, telemetry, EKGs, bladder scanning, Foley placement, straight cath, admits and discharges. - No Pyxis or Omnicell; narcotics use a manual counting process. - Uses some patient home medications and an in-house pharmacy formulary in most instances. - Uses MAC 200 EKG machine, Baxter IV pumps, and Mindray bedside monitoring. - There is not always a hospitalist provider in house; at times only RNs and CNAs are in the building while providers are on call. - Pharmacy and lab are not always in house but are on call.
Shift & Scheduling: - Friday - Sunday. - No call. - 5 weekend shifts a month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
