Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2050 per week.

Shift: 6:45 AM - 6:45 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 12 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Florida license or compact license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

To receive travel rate, the clinician’s claimed residence must match the address on the driver’s license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates must have at least 6 months of employment separation to be considered for a travel position.

Required Credentials: Driver’s license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, 2 attempts allowed.

Unit Details: Fast-paced observation/telemetry unit serving as an extension of the emergency department for short-stay patients. Focus on hypertensive urgency, stroke work-ups, titratable cardiac drips, acute infections, cardiac work-ups, and ESRD.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend required. Holidays as required, per unit need.
