Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2120 per week.

Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Strong knowledge in Med-Surg, infectious disease, and isolation precautions.
Special Requests: Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. Block scheduling is allowed as long as unit needs are met.
Unit Details: Patient population includes all types of infectious disease and isolation cases, including COVID-19, MRSA, and C. difficile. Patient ratios are 1:5-6, or 1:4 for COVID-19 patients. No cardiac drips; common medications include heparin, antibiotics, and other typical Med-Surg IV medications. No ventilators; patients may be on CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen managed by respiratory therapy. Remote telemetry is monitored from the third floor with monitors at the desk.
Shift & Scheduling: Day shifts run 0700-1930. Every other weekend. Day-shift weekend coverage is Saturday/Sunday. Holiday work depends on unit needs; travelers may be expected to work if permanent staff coverage is insufficient.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are the first to float, and floating is required to any Med-Surg unit. If floated to Tele, they will be assigned patients within their skill set.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
