Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Required Skills/Experience: Strong Med-Surg background due to the variety of patients.
Special Requests: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: No previous employment allowed at this facility. If the traveler has preferences, the manager is open to working with block scheduling.
Unit Details: Common diagnoses/patient types include CP, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, pancreatitis, orthopedic cases, detox, postoperative surgical patients, and pediatric patients; the unit can take anything except laboring mothers and patients requiring titrated cardiac or insulin drips. Telemetry is monitored by ICU staff, and readings are faxed to Med-Surg for the nurse to document. RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP (available all hours), and high flow; RT assists with and manages this equipment.
Shift & Scheduling: Extra shifts may be available. The manager makes the schedule. Every other weekend is required; night shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Holiday shifts rotate with regular staff. No call.
Floating Requirements: Med-Surg frequently floats to assist other units as a tasker or extra set of hands.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
Driver’s license required for submission
