Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.
Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.

Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Required Credentials:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
The Ascension EKG Exam is required during onboarding; a passing score of at least 80% is required, with only two attempts permitted; it must be updated every 3 years.
The Ascension Specialty Exam is required during onboarding; a minimum passing score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization is required; only two attempts are allowed; it must be updated every 3 years.
Ascension Core Competencies are required during onboarding and cover HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, and OSHA topics; a minimum passing score of 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization is required; only two attempts are allowed; they must be updated every 3 years.
Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.

Unit Details:
The unit is an ortho trauma surgical unit.
Patient populations served include young adults (17 to <30 years), middle adults (30 years to <60 years), and older adults (>60 years).

Shift & Scheduling:
Holiday requirements include Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Floating Requirements:
Could float to other acute care units, including Med/Surg and Observation units.

5 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
