Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have experience with central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes. - Prefer candidates who have Epic experience and travel experience on a Med-Surg floor; if they have experience in a Level I trauma center, candidates without travel experience will be considered as long as they have Epic experience.

Unit Details: - Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 from 07-2300 and 1:5-6 from 23-0730. - Common diagnoses include cellulitis, sepsis, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, syncope, anemia, uncontrolled diabetes, acute respiratory failure, liver failure, kidney failure, behavioral health, and addictions. - Common titratable or set-rate drips include heparin and Lasix. - The unit uses BiPAP/CPAP for sleep apnea, and care includes inhaler administration and suctioning. - House-wide telemetry is monitored remotely; RNs can view strips on the pack or computer, and Philips monitors are used.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday for day shifts. - Holiday requirements vary. - No call or standby requirement.

Floating Requirements: - Floating is rotational to any other acute-care general medicine area, including nephrology, neurology, orthopedics, and oncology.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
