Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2290 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Unit Details: Patient ratios are 4-5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights; surgical staffing may reach 1:6 on days and 1:7 on nights. The patient population includes general medical patients with various diagnoses. RNs are required to titrate heparin drips. Patients may require up to 6L NC oxygen and stable BiPAP/CPAP at night or as needed. Patients requiring telemetry are monitored remotely by the hospital-wide telemetry department; unit equipment is primarily Philips. RNs are expected to attempt IV starts and use unit resources if unsuccessful; an inpatient phlebotomy team performs blood draws. Hospitalist/intensivist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services are in-house 24/7; pharmacy staff prepare all medications.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend: Friday/Saturday for night shifts. Holiday rotation is required per policy. Call is not required.
Floating Requirements: Travel RNs are first to float to other units as needed.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
