Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Special Requests: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. Previous Sanford Health employment must be disclosed on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months before submission; a full 6 months off is also required from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location. Skills checklist cannot contain any N/As; all lines must have a numerical rating.
Unit Details: Adult patient population. Uses OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, Language Line, and Zebra phones. 0700-2300: 1:4-5. 2300-0700: 1:5-6.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday. Rotation pattern varies based on unit needs; clinicians may work 3 weeks of days then 3 weeks of nights in one schedule cycle, and the next schedule cycle may be all days or all nights. Self-scheduling is available, but only days off listed on the contract are guaranteed; self-scheduled shifts may be moved to balance unit needs, and specific day-off requests may require finding a trade. Schedule balancing aims to avoid frequent flipping between days and nights.
Floating Requirements: May be required to float to other med-surg units at Sanford Medical Center Fargo and Broadway Sanford.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
