Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Additional Details:

Special Requests: Resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job. If previously employed by Sanford Health, Good Samaritan Society, or Marshfield Clinic Health System, a full 6 months off is required before submission. Must disclose previous employment within the submission for a DNU check. Skills checklist cannot contain any N/As; all lines must have a numerical rating.

Unit Details: Adult medical-surgical patient population. Duties include head-to-toe and focused assessments, medication administration, interdisciplinary communication, patient and family plan-of-care updates, patient advocacy, and documentation. Uses OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, Language Line, and Zebra phones. Nurse-to-patient ratios: 0700-2300 1:4-5; 2300-0700 1:5-6.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday. Day/night rotation depends on unit needs; clinicians may work 3 weeks of days then 3 weeks of nights in one schedule cycle, and the next cycle may be all days or all nights. Self-scheduling is available, but only contract-listed days off are guaranteed; self-scheduled shifts may be adjusted to balance unit needs, and staff may need to trade shifts to secure specific days off. Scheduling aims to avoid frequent flips between days and nights.

Floating Requirements: May be required to float to other med-surg units at Sanford Medical Center Fargo and Broadway Sanford within Fargo as needed.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
