Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be proficient with central lines, NG tube management, ostomies, and drain management. Must be able to read telemetry strips.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with CBIs and Foley management preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. The facility may make one-off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System.
Unit Details: Uses Epic. Multiple-specialty Med/Surg unit with bariatric, urology, colorectal, vascular, acute care, gynecologic, plastic surgery/breast reconstruction, cystic fibrosis, and medical patients; the unit also shares medical patients because the hospital does not have a dedicated medical unit. Common surgeries and procedures include TURP, cystoscopy, prostatectomy, AAA repair, endarterectomy, fem-pop bypass, hysterectomies, mastectomies, Whipple surgery, and pectus surgery. Heparin drips are common; titration is not required. Charge nurse does not have a patient assignment; leadership support is available day and night. RT equipment includes CPAP, high flow, and occasional BiPAP; BiPAP-dependent patients are transferred to a higher level of care. Remote telemetry monitoring. Travelers may be charge if needed and they have experience.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, but may be more often if there is a need. Holidays as needed. No call. Night shifts are often scheduled 3 in a row for work/life balance.
Floating Requirements: Floating to like units between local hospitals, including Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center, is required. Travelers are first to float. Med/Surg floats to Med/Surg units when needed. Not super common.

Driver’s license required for submission
