Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have post procedural cardiac experience (cath lab, ablations, open heart). Must be able to read and interpret tele and document it appropriately; nurses are expected to read and interpret tele 2x per shift.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Prior travel experience preferred. PCU and stepdown experience preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous employees may be considered only with an approved exception from St. Luke’s Health System. Block scheduling is not guaranteed (max of 5 shifts in a row).
Unit Details: Uses Epic. 3rd floor has a cardiac focus with post-op procedural patients, post-op day 1 open heart, TAVRs, ablations, post caths, pacemakers, and med tele. 7th floor is general telemetry with post procedural overflow, CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, post-stroke patients, and more. Common drips include set-rate cardiac drips, amiodarone, Cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine; heparin and insulin drips are used rarely, and the facility will train on insulin if needed. Charge nurse on each unit typically does not take a patient assignment unless necessary; crisis and resource nurse support is available in house as needed. RT is available on each floor; unit can take intermittent high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP, with RT managing and RNs assisting if needed.
Shift & Scheduling: Schedule is typically made 6 weeks at a time. 5-6 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule for day shift (Sat/Sun). May be asked to work holidays, but not expected to work every holiday. Call is not typical; more likely to float.
Floating Requirements: Tele 3 and 7 pool staffing together to cover staffing needs; travelers are expected to float between 3 and 7 as needed. Travelers are first to float and may float to other MS, MS-Tele, or Tele units within the hospital and to sister facilities in Meridian and Nampa.
