Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >45 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Program - Faith Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Program - Faith Health.

Required Skills/Experience: - Bedside shift report.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Should have experience with the shift they are submitted for (days vs nights).
Special Requests: - Blocked scheduling can be accommodated at times.
Unit Details: - High turnover on days; if you discharge a patient, you will get an admit. - Older teens and adult patients with diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, influenza, alcohol withdrawal, and respiratory viruses. - Surgical cases include orthopedic (hips, knees, shoulders), general surgery (appendix, gallbladder, bowel), spinal surgery (laminectomies, spinal fusions), and urology. - RNs are required to titrate drips including heparin; set-rate drips include Bumex and Lasix. - Cardiac tech available 24/7; RNs are not required to read their own telemetry strips and should call the cardiac tech if telemetry is ordered. - Uses trachs, CPAP for OSA, BiPAP, and high flow; respiratory therapy support available 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling: - Weekender position. - No self-scheduling for travel RNs. - Weekends as needed. - Holidays as needed. - Call/standby may occur for low census/cancelled shifts.
Floating Requirements: - May float to IMCU for MS assignments.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
