Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 1 year of continuous scrub experience. Ophthalmology, neuro, and ENT experience is required with both pediatric and adult patients.

Special Requests: RTO is due at time of submission, and approval will be based on facility needs. If unavailable for emergency response duties, please do not confirm new assignments or extensions during hurricane season. If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC. Parking requires a $20 registration fee for a hang tag; no additional fees apply at the 91 Street Parking Garage, but parking outside that garage may incur additional fees. Local Rate = 10% less than travel rate

Unit Details: Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November and peaks in August–September. Common procedures/surgeries include lap appy, ortho trauma, polytrauma, and craniotomy. A radiation badge is required and will be provided by the agency.

Shift & Scheduling: Schedule may need to be modified to 4x9s to accommodate a sister unit. Call required: 3-6 shifts per 4-week schedule period. Weekend requirement around the holidays. Holiday call may be required. Holiday pods would likely need extra help for possible transplants.

Floating Requirements: Floating to like sister units and sister facilities may be required to meet facility needs.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
