Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $1660 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• AS completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Preferred Credentials:
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Special Requests:
The unit is open to Friday/Saturday/Sunday block scheduling if the clinician is interested.

Unit Details:
With two therapists, one RT is assigned to MST/ED and the other to ICU/PCU/LDRP; with three therapists, coverage is divided further based on census and acuity.
LDRP includes postpartum, labor, triage, and a Level 1 nursery.
Equipment includes Hamilton C6 and PB 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Airvo, V60 BiPAP, and Bubble CPAP; the unit recently received new Hamilton C6 ventilators.
Uses Meditech Expanse.
Procedures include ABGs, oxygen nebulizers, ventilator management, BiPAP management, home O2 qualifications, CPT vest, high-flow management, Bubble CPAP, and EKGs.
RTs cannot currently intubate.

Shift & Scheduling:
A minimum of every other weekend is expected.

10 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver's license required

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
