Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2150 per week.

Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center.
Required skills include ventilator protocols, therapist-driven protocols, tracheostomy care, and bronchoscopy.

Special Requests:
RTO requests must go through the manager.

Unit Details:
Patient population includes COPD, asthma, pneumonia, trauma, respiratory distress, respiratory failure, and post-surgical patients.
Department support includes a charge therapist and 24/7 respiratory therapist, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage.
Equipment includes PB 980 ventilators, Hamilton ventilators, Draeger ventilators (NICU), V60, Panther 5N, Airvo 2 and 3 high-flow devices, GEM 7000 blood gas analyzers, Volara, and cough assist.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
No call.
Working holidays is possible; there are no specific holiday expectations.
Schedules are set in 4-5-week increments and released 2 weeks before the schedule begins.
The facility accommodates preferred scheduling, subject to maintaining the proper number of staff and skill mix on each shift.

Floating Requirements:
Floats throughout the hospital.

14 days maximum time off

2 Manager references required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
