Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2150 per week.

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 3 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience:
Required skills include Level I or II Trauma Center experience, ventilator protocols and therapist-driven protocols, tracheostomy care, and bronchoscopies.

Unit Details:
Common diagnoses include COPD, asthma, pneumonia, trauma, respiratory distress, respiratory failure, and post-surgery cases.
Unit equipment includes PB 980, Hamilton, and Draeger ventilators (NICU); V60; Panther 5N; Airvo 2 and 3 high-flow devices; GEM 7000 blood gas analyzers; Volara; and cough assist.
Department support includes a charge therapist, 24/7 respiratory therapist coverage, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, and 24/7 intensivist coverage.

Floating Requirements:
Floats throughout the hospital.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend rotation.
Working holidays is possible; there are no specific holiday expectations.
No call.
Schedules are created in 4-5 week increments and released 2 weeks before the schedule begins.
Scheduling considers preferred schedules but is subject to staffing and skill-mix needs.

Special Requests:
RTO requests must go through the manager.

14 days maximum time off

2 Manager references required from within the last 12 months

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
