Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Respiratory Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 3 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Pediatric RRT role requires PICU, NICU, or intensive care experience. 2 years of either Level 3 or 4 NICU experience is required; PICU experience will also be considered depending on the length of experience and the number of beds at previous hospitals. Required skills include airway management, medication administration, ventilator management, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, and CPAP.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Trauma experience is preferred. ER experience is preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred. Children’s Hospital experience is preferred. Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators, high-frequency oscillators, EKGs, code response, and rapid response is preferred.

Special Requests: Only 3 shifts of RTO can be approved. RTO is not approved within the first 2 weeks of the start date. RTO must be included with the initial submission or it will not be approved. Submit the 2-day holiday grouping you would like to have off with your submission for unit-manager approval.

Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric patients, and adolescents. Preferred equipment includes Bubble RAM, CPAP, and HFNC. Preferred ventilators include Draeger and Trilogy.

Shift & Scheduling: If you are willing to work your 3 shifts in a week, some days may possibly be DR, leaving the remaining week off. The schedule runs Monday-Sunday. Must work 2 of the 3 holiday groupings (4/6 of the listed days). Holiday groupings are Thanksgiving Eve and/or the day after, depending on the shift (3p vs 7p); Christmas Eve and Christmas; and New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Weekend coverage is required. On-call is not required; on-call shifts may be available for pickup.

Floating Requirements: This is not an ICU-only role. You will be floated to acute/all inpatient areas as needed in addition to working in all ICUs.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
