Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2230 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Respiratory Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 3 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: PICU or NICU intensive care experience is required. 2 years of either Level 3 or 4 NICU experience is required. PICU experience will also be considered depending on the length of experience and the number of beds at previous hospitals. Required skills include airway management, medication administration, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, and CPAP.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Trauma experience preferred. Emergency room experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred. Children’s hospital experience preferred. High-frequency jet ventilator, high-frequency oscillator, EKGs, code response, and rapid response skills preferred. Bubble RAM, CPAP, and HFNC skills preferred.

Special Requests: Only 3 RTO shifts can be approved. RTO is not approved within the first 2 weeks of the assignment. RTO must be included with the initial submission or it will not be approved. One holiday grouping (two days) may be requested off, subject to unit-manager approval.

Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric patients, and adolescents.

Shift & Scheduling: Working all 3 shifts in a week may allow some of the remaining week off. The schedule runs Monday through Sunday. Must work 2 of the 3 holiday groupings (4 of 6 days): Thanksgiving Eve and/or the following day (depending on shift, 3p vs. 7p); Christmas Eve and Christmas; and New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. No on-call requirement; on-call shifts are available for pickup. Weekend coverage is required.

Floating Requirements: This is not an ICU-only role; the clinician will float to acute care and all inpatient areas as needed, in addition to working in all ICUs.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
