Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must be comfortable attending high-risk deliveries and supporting Level 3 NICU/PICU. High-risk delivery experience, including neonatal intubation if necessary. Airway and ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, Code Blue and rapid response experience, and inhaled medication administration including nitric oxide.
Special Requests: No first-time travelers; must have completed at least one 13-week assignment. Valid driver’s license required due to floating across 4 campuses during the contract. Management is open to 7 on/7 off, 3/2, or 5/2 rotating weeks. Holiday expectations: as assigned unless RTO is in contract. RTO must go through the Manager for approval.
Unit Details: Adult, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory care across ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, high-risk L&D, and Level 3 NICU/PICU settings. Common patient population includes COPD, CHF, flu, pneumonia, COVID, ARDS, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, s/p CABG, s/p liver/kidney transplant, oral and maxillofacial surgery, radical head/neck surgeries requiring tracheostomy, minor trauma/MVA, GBS, RSV, cystic fibrosis, and high-risk delivery neonates. Equipment includes Servo U, Servo I, Trilogy, V60, EV300, Vapotherm HVT, Vapotherm Precision Flow, Airvo 2, Percussion Air IPV, ResMed Lumis TX, oscillator, and Neopuff. Travelers will not work specifically with ECMO.
Shift & Scheduling: Shift options: 7a-7p or 7p-7a. Will work a 36/48-hour rotation. Every other weekend. 2 call shifts per month with a 2-hour minimum; transport call may be ground or air and could include adult patients. Less experienced RTs will cover the unit while the more experienced therapist accompanies the transport. Additional call is available on a voluntary basis. Overtime may be available with facility approval.
Floating Requirements: Flexibility to float throughout all 4 campuses during the contract is required. Campuses are approximately 20-25 minutes apart. Float scope includes Willis Knighton Medical Center (ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele), Willis Knighton Bossier (ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, L&D high-risk deliveries), Willis Knighton Pierremont (ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, L&D high-risk deliveries), and Willis Knighton South (Level 3 NICU/PICU/Peds plus adult ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, and L&D high-risk deliveries).
