Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If a candidate worked at a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from the perm facility.
Eligibility as current/previous employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to read strips and be comfortable with post heart cath, TR Band, CHF, COPD, post pacer, CABG consult, and arrhythmia patients.
Unit Details: - Post heart caths, TR bands, CHF, COPD, post pacers (no external pacers), medical management or waiting for CABG consult, and arrhythmias. - Only Heparin is titrated; Cardizem and Amiodarone are not titrated. Lasix or Bumex may occasionally be titrated. - Monitor techs are present, and the unit is the central monitor station for the entire North Tower. - RNs must be able to perform EKGs if PCTs are unable. - Occasional High Flow in certain rooms. BiPAP and CPAP are used for supportive therapy only; patients dependent on BiPAP or CPAP would likely be transferred to a higher-acuity unit. - Night charge always takes a patient assignment; travelers may be used as charge if comfortable. - Fast-paced unit with approximately 8-12 discharges and 8-12 admissions per day. RNs are expected to do their own admissions and discharges, with unit clerk support.
Special Requests: - Self-scheduling is allowed, and block schedule requests will be accommodated if unit needs are met.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend for travelers. Weekend shifts for nights are Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon. - Call or standby could happen if census is low, but this is very rare.
Floating Requirements: - Travelers are worked into the float rotation and could be floated anywhere in the hospital, including ICU (rare) and Stepdown, but they will only be given patients within their skillset.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
