Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.
• 24 months gap required between for Travel at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
Preferred Skills/Experience: PleurX chest tube experience preferred.
Preferred Credentials: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred.
Unit Details: General MedSurg patients, some post-op lap chole and lap appy cases, no post-op ortho, and oncology patients with complications including neutropenic precautions, pneumonia, and infections. Permanent staff administer chemo. Lots of chest tubes; malignant patients often go home with PleurX chest tubes. Occasional psych patients who may be 1:1 with a sitter. Heparin drip only; no cardiac drips. Phillips monitors with a central monitor tech for the entire hospital. CPAP and BiPap only; RT manages.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; Sat/Sun for day shift. Holiday rotation with permanent staff.
Floating Requirements: Float to MedSurg/Tele units.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ONS (Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider)
