Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 24 months gap required between for Travel at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate gtts. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips. Cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
Special Requests: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Unit Details: Cardiac/telemetry patient population including cardiac patients, CR bands, post-cath, AMI, post-op lung surgery patients after transfer out of CCU, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, and post-PCI; no stepdown patients. Occasional cardiac gtts with titration including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro up to 50 mcg. Will not pull sheaths; no art lines. CPAP and BiPAP only; RT manages. Philips monitors. Charge nurse available 24/7; on nights the charge nurse takes patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; Sat/Sun for both days and nights. Works holiday rotation with permanent staff.
Floating Requirements: Float to any MedSurg/Tele unit.
7 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
