Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2080 per week.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 4 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Special Requests: RTO is not permitted over holidays. No RTO is preferred during the assignment.

Unit Details: Patient ratios are 4:1 for Telemetry and 5:1 for Med/Surg. Uses Pyxis as the medication system. IV team coverage is Monday-Friday on day shift only and depends on the IV nurse’s patient care; it may not be available during all dates and times. Pharmacy and phlebotomy are available 24/7. Intensivist coverage is provided 7 days a week on day shift, with night-shift coverage by phone/on-call. Hospitalist coverage is 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: Call is required for permanent staff. Every other weekend rotation is expected, but may be adjusted based on business need. Scheduling is a mixture of self-request and business need. RTO is limited to no longer than 2 weeks at a time. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements: Float requirement: You may be required to float to Adventist Health locations within 30 miles. Per union contract, you must float to any Med/Surg/Tele department to take patients and to other departments, such as ED, ICU and OB, to task only.
