Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), general medical/surgical skillset – care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc.

Unit Details: Patient population/common diagnoses: MedSurg: DKA, Sepsis, Wounds, CHF, AKI, PNA, Diabetes, Anemia, Sickle Cell Crisis. Surgical: Pancreatitis, Spinal Fusions, Ortho total joints – Knees/Hips. RN ratios:Nights: 1:6 - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8). Support includes CNA for patient care and mobility, receptionist/HUC 24/7, charge nurse, phlebotomy 24/7, IV/VAT team 24/7, dedicated unit pharmacist, 2 case managers per unit, MedSurg clinical nurse specialist, RT 24/7, nurse educator, and hospitalist 24/7. No remote tele monitoring - Unit Clerk, Charge/Clinical Supervisor and Staff are responsible to read and post every shift. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors, and Rover Communication. Free parking

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.

Floating Requirements: Within Region 2 and scope of practice; will float per region needs to Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children’s Hospital).

Required Credentials: ASN / BSN

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
