Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Marshfield Clinic Health System.

Additional Details:

Special Requests: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether it was a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Skills checklist cannot contain any N/As; all lines must have a numerical rating. If previously employed by Marshfield, must be at least 6 months from prior end date before submission. Previous Marshfield employment must be disclosed in the submission. No self-scheduling; block scheduling to the best of our ability dependent on staffing.

Unit Details: Nurse-patient ratios: 0700-1900 1:4-5; 1900-0730 1:5-6. Post-surgical patient population includes orthopedic, urology, GYN/onc, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, ENT, plastics, and GI; acute medical patients with short anticipated length of stay may also be admitted. RNs titrate heparin and occasionally nitro, Cardizem, and insulin drips. Telemetry is monitored by remote technicians using GE monitors. Charge nurse on all shifts takes an assignment; house supervisor on all shifts. Nursing assistants present 0630-1900 at 1:8-12; RNs take a lower ratio than traditional on nights without a nursing assistant. CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen therapy; no vents; RT support present.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday. No call.

Floating Requirements: Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
