Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Required Skills/Experience: - Experience with large hospital, busy environment. - Travel experience required; candidates currently on their first travel assignment will not be considered.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Previous Sanford Health employment requires an end date at least 6 months before submission. - Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well.
Unit Details: - Adult medical/surgical patients, including some patients experiencing behavioral disturbances. - Uses Telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, AcuVein, and Omnicell. - Nurse to patient ratio: 5:1 on days, 6:1 on nights.
Shift & Scheduling: - Day/night rotation with every other weekend and holiday. - Rotation timing depends on unit needs; clinicians may work 3 weeks of days then 3 weeks of nights one schedule cycle, and the next schedule cycle may be all days or all nights. - Travelers can self-schedule, but only the days off listed in the contract are assured; self-scheduled shifts may be moved to balance unit needs. - If a specific day off cannot be supported, staff are expected to find someone to trade shifts. - Scheduling aims to minimize frequent flipping between days and nights.
Floating Requirements: - Must float to any med/surg unit within Fargo across all 3 campuses as needed.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
