Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Unit Details: Provide nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical unit. Perform head-to-toe and focused assessments, administer medications, communicate with the interdisciplinary team, update patients and families on the plan of care, advocate for patients, and document care. Uses OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, Language Line, and Zebra phones. Nurse-to-patient ratios: 0700-2300: 1:4-5; 2300-0700: 1:5-6.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday. Day/night rotation varies by unit need and may include 3 weeks of days followed by 3 weeks of nights in one schedule cycle, and all days or all nights in the next cycle. Travelers may self-schedule; only contract-listed days off are guaranteed, and self-scheduled shifts may be moved to balance unit needs. If a specific day off cannot be supported, travelers may need to find someone to trade shifts. Schedule balancing is mindful of avoiding frequent day/night flipping.
Floating Requirements: May be required to float to other med-surg units at Sanford Medical Center Fargo and Broadway Sanford.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
