Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Paragon is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

Required Skills/Experience: Must-have skills include IVs, Foley catheters, and dressing changes.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Ortho experience preferred.

Unit Details: If the medical-surgical census does not support staffing, the clinician may be assigned inpatient rehabilitation patients. Patient ratios are 1:4 for medical-surgical patients and 1:6 for inpatient rehabilitation patients. These numbers are frequently adjusted by the level of care required by the patient and reviewed in staffing 2x/day. Common diagnoses and cases include total knees, hips and shoulders, CVAs, encephalopathy, and lumbar fusions. The unit also takes “clean” medical-surgical patients when bed needs necessitate.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling is not available, but the unit will try to allow flexibility in schedules. Every other weekend is needed. Holidays are rotated to allow all staff time to spend with their families.

Floating Requirements: Floating is limited to another MS unit with similar staffing ratios. If census is low, nurses will stay on the unit or float to another unit in the hospital if there is a greater need for nursing staff.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
